SharePoint Jump-Start for the NHS

A fact of computing life is that some of the most powerful and user-empowering technologies bring with them enormous challenges for the IT team. SharePoint is amongst these. With the SharePoint Development Jump-Start, we can help you with a 20 day consultancy package.

Working with your IT Team, we will ensure that you can set up and use the NHS CUI Knowledge Worker Tools Solution Enablers and that your IT Team is geared up to support and enhance these starter solutions.

Some examples of the activities we typically undertake as part of the consultancy package are:

• Working closely with the Trust’s business users to understand specific business needs through face-to-face requirements workshops.
• Providing an on-line proof of concept that would allow us to demonstrate how SharePoint can be used to fulfil those requirements. This will help business users understand what SharePoint can do for them without the need for upfront investment in infrastructure or technical resources.
• Working closely with the Trust’s development team (or suppliers) to put in place the engineering practices and development environments required to build SharePoint solutions based on proven best practices (and similar to the environments used at Microsoft for the development of the KWT solution enablers).
• Helping Trusts to deploy the existing solution enablers in their own environment.
• Helping Trusts to adapt the existing solution enablers so that they fulfil additional Trust-specific requirements.
