Our Recent Projects

For us every project is partnership with our customers. We understand that requirements are not set in stone and are likely to change as business users get a better understanding of what the technology can offer them. That’s why we adopt an iterative implementation approach that aims to deliver a proof of concept (POC) as early as possible and, when using our hosted POC platform, with minimum upfront investment.

We adopt a controlled agile methodology. For us design is not something that we “quickly do” just before implementation. Instead design and implementation are tightly connected, each providing feedback to the other. This ensures that design and implementation do not diverge over time. Instead, they converge, and become more in sync.

  1. SharePoint Action Framework (SAF)

    SAF is a SharePoint deployment and configuration framework that has been used internally by Collaboris for several years. SAF is fully extendable and addresses some of the shortcomings of the out of the box framework provided with SharePoint. SAF is freely available to everyone via CodePlex. [more...].

  2. Microsoft-NHS Knowledge Worker Tools

    In April 2008 Collaboris joined forces with Microsoft to deliver the Knowledge Worker Tools (KWT) SharePoint solution enablers. These solution enablers demonstrate how SharePoint solutions can be applied to business problems common to many Healthcare organisations. [more...]

  3. NHS Choices

    NHS Choices is the one of the largest SharePoint Publishing Sites in the world, with the number of published pages reaching 15,000 and number of weekly visits totalling around 1.7 million. Collaboris have worked with the NHS Choices team during 2008/2009 to aid them with Development and Deployment, using best practices. More recently they are working as part of a specialised team to optimise site performance in order to meet future usage levels.

  4. Rotherham Learning Portal

    The Rotherham Learning Portal is an implementation of Microsoft's Learning Gateway, using SharePoint Collaboration Sites and MySites. Each Primary and Secondary School in Rotherham has a SharePoint site based on site definitions delivered by the Learning Gateway. Collaboris worked with BT to implement the Portal and build upon its functionality.
